Description
The XF80MAx Cellular Drift Eliminator cellular drift eliminator specifically engineered for factory-built crossflow cooling towers. It achieves industry-leading drift loss rates as low as 0.0005% of circulating water flow (per CTI-HBIK Standard 140), making it one of the most effective drift eliminators available on the market today.
XF80MAx features an upward airflow path, a steep drainage angle, and a tuned venturi section that accelerates exit airflow to remove even smaller water droplets. The module is constructed from a series of sinusoidal-shaped, corrugated PVC sheets, mechanically assembled without adhesives. These closed-cell structures force air to make three directional changes, creating centrifugal forces that separate water droplets from the airflow and direct them to the module walls for drainage.
Each module uses Patented Mechanical Assembly (MA) technology, eliminating the need for glue and enhancing environmental sustainability. The modules are field-cuttable to fit tightly around columns and obstructions without compromising structural integrity. Nesting design ensures seamless installation by eliminating gaps between packs, and Dri-Seals are recommended to maximize performance.
Constructed from UV-protected PVC that meets Cooling Technology Institute Standard 136, XF80MAx is available in multiple thicknesses to suit various structural and thermal requirements. The PVC material offers excellent resistance to chemicals, weathering, and biological attack, and has a flame spread rating of 25 per ASTM E84 due to its self-extinguishing properties.
