Description
The VC25 splash fill is a high-performance, clog-resistant fill system engineered for use in counterflow cooling towers handling medium to highly polluted water. Made from polypropylene (PP) or high-density polyethylene (HDPE), it features a non-glued, mechanically assembled design for enhanced structural integrity and durability. The vertical offset grid structure encourages directional changes in air and water flow, promoting efficient thermal exchange while reducing fouling risk. With its specially textured surface, the fill enhances air-water mixing and increases the cooling surface area, making it highly effective even in applications with high levels of suspended solids or oily contaminants.
Its robust design withstands long-term exposure to hot water up to 75°C (167°F), supports foot traffic for easy maintenance access, and allows cleaning with high-pressure equipment. The material’s thickness (1.5–2 mm) is substantially greater than traditional fill inserts, contributing to superior stability and long service life. Environmentally friendly and solvent-free, the VC25 fill complies with global fire safety standards including ASTM E 84, UL 94, and DIN 4102-B1/B2. It is ideal for demanding cooling applications across power plants, industrial processes, agriculture, and exhaust air systems.
